Chasing the Green Man: Ben Geldim Gidiyorum (2011)

Ben Geldim Gidiyorum toured in Turkey and the UK between the 10th May and 2nd July 2011. Many thanks to all that came, supported us, gave their opinions, gave their time and let us sleep on their floors.

In a world where miniature toy taxis hold oversized luggage, just down the road from moustachioed-çay-man and behind the shop of leather-for-you-ladies, two British women sit down to lunch in a rainstorm. One is a visitor to this country. She likes to think she is brave. The other? Well, the other one believes in fairytales

Chasing the Green Man is a collaboration between UK artists Rachael Clerke and Billie Beckley (Totally Irrelevant Theatre). The duo have backgrounds in devised theatre, cabaret, music, visual art and writing. They create highly visual theatre whilst exploring the world around them. They strive to stimulate the senses of audiences in Turkey, the UK and worldwide.

Asking questions about coming and going, home and heart, here and now, Ben Geldim Gidiyorum, a co-production with video artist Anthony Askew, was the product of 9 months of residency in Istanbul.
